A new DQX from belated Santa (really nautilus marine) for the Wasque.
I can’t wait for warmer weather to fit it on the boat! The current 40 year old DQ will become the spare.

Beautiful, mine is supposed to be here any day. Hoping to get it on and tested next week. What are the specs? Prop, motor, gear etc..

    Cummins 330B, ZF220 gear with 1:1.5 ratio.
Right now with the old 20x22 DQ I hit 26kts WOT lightly loaded.
The new wheel is 20x21.5. Worked with Nautilus Marine who were great and tuned my DQ perfectly.

The small aperture limits wheel size!

I appreciate your recommending them to me, it was very helpful. Mark and the whole team has been awesome. It’s nice to work with people that know their stuff and deliver results.

Sweet! H&H propeller is doing mine. I’ve got the same issues. I really need a 30x32 according to the math. Can only fit a 28, so 28x34DQX. 430 C series, 2.53:1 gear

Your boat’s a beauty. I watched your thread when you bought her in December.

Can someone post some contact info for nautilus? I have had a wheel done 2x and still vibration.

Came up with my own way to measure the blades relative to each other and it looks like they are not all 90 degrees to each other. Twice!

Have you tried Hale, they are much closer to you?

H&h Propeller? Or New England Propeller?

Seems like people are happy with Nautilus so not sure if that is the same as New England Prop? I Might be confusing things... ?

Different spots. Nautilus is in Maine and the other two in mass

FYI I used them, even though they’re far away, because they know DE boats. The distance may not be worth it for you Ben, unless you have to ship the wheel anyway. My local guy would treat my boat like a planning hull and had no idea about DXQ vs DQ.

    Exactly.
For what you need Hale is the best choice if you believe the prop is out of balance, he wrote the MRI program that everyone uses. Although not every shop uses it properly and the results may vary from shop to shop.
Mark at Nautlius Marine props downeast boats for a living, he has a experience factor when it comes to which prop and size to use that is why it was the right shop for Old Bay.
