New FF for 2012

Looking to purchase a new FF have seperate C70 Raymarine radarunit. Looking in the $1000-$1,500 range. Have 4yr old raymarine unit 560 ? not happy with it. Any suggestions Thanks

Furuno 585,nice unit not to big,capable of 1000 watt.Around 1300.00.In my opinion its a Furuno or nothing.Some people like the Hondex.I guess its what your used to.I got my first Furuno when I got rid of my paper machine so thats what Ive been used to.

Sounds like the furuno is way to go. Should i also go with 1kw and is that a transom or thru hull bronze. Thanks for help and any more info.

Another one here with the 585 & 1k transducer.
Only bad thing I can say is it doesn't have all the tuning knobs the prior 582 did.
Shift is the one knob I really wish it had.
Been thinking about upgrading to the 295 and would have to upgrade the transducer also though.

Furuno only way to go! bought 1150 and it just tells me how bad a fisherman i am (lol):eek:
