Hi guys,

New to this site and want to introduce myself. My name is Grant and I'm a cattle rancher from western North Dakota.
I'm sure some of you are wondering-what in the hell is this hayshaker doing here? Well here's the deal. I absolutely love your boats!! Really enjoy your pictures and also learning alot from your posts.
What I appreciate the most is how much blood, sweat, tears, trial and error and all the rest, that went into the development of these boats by those of you who depend on them for your lives and livelihoods. Pure function and no fluff. Plus they are beautiful to boot!
With that, I'll shut-up, back my self in the corner and enjoy your site.
Thankyou for allowing me to become a member.

Welcome aboard. I sure didn't start out around boats. I grew up at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA and I now live in North Carolina, but I do love lobster boats. Both of my boats were built in Maine.

Grant,
You got any water out your way big enough to use one of these beauties??
A guy on the forum (powderpro) built a beautiful 34 Calvin Beal in Missouri a few years ago.

He's always drivin up to Maine, hauling a hull back to the midwest, builds the dam boat, then hauls it to Seattle to go north from there !!!

I suppose he'd be willing to drop a DE off out your way!! LOL.

You are not toooo far off his beaten path !!!!!

Good to have ya following all this neat boat stuff!!

AND, thanks for including your location in your profile !!!!

Saves me from bugging you with a private message.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

To answer your question Bill-we don't have water like you guys have, but we do have a small lake 20 miles from home, 16-20 footers and 100 miles from us is the Garrision Dam which is the second largest man made lake in the country. I know there are 30-40 footers on this lake.
