Greetings,

Just recently ran across the site even though I have had my Duffy for 3 years now. I work out of Hatteras Inlet in NC doing mostly wreck diving charters and some charter fishing as well.

Spent the last week in the yard doing the shaft bearings, shaft log hoses, rudder ports, rebedding the thru hulls and a hundred other things. All new exhaust hose and clamps as well since that was all original and it was time for it to go. Twin screw boat so it takes longer and costs twice as much too!

Took me several boats to get to this one and now wished I had jumped on this hull years ago when I first saw one. Really like this DE boat and hope to learn more from you guys and contribute what I can.

Welcome! Did you buy ht boat in montauk a few years back? 3208's for power?

Yes, she came from Montauk where it had been for a few years. Has the 3208s for power and now running pretty good. Did a lot of clean up and rewiring, etc, that first year. New windows and recoring the house and decks the second. It is in much better condition now and I can trust her 100% at sea but I still have a ways to go to call her a yacht...

Lionspaw welcome,I cant figure out how someone could let a beautiful boat like that go to shit. Some people just dont care...guys on here would love to own a boat ....glad to see you fixed her up

I looked at that boat a few years ago came close to making an offer owners was a local mate on one of the boats out east that tried to make a go at it himself I really liked that boat alot a bit of work and you will have yourself 1 fine vessel BEST OF LUCK with her...................

Welcome aboard. Great to see someone else from Hatteras Island on here. Saw your boat there at Scott BY when I drove by headed for Wanchese. Mine is up there at Bluewater. Hope to be overboard in a couple of days.

Hello Brian! Actually I did not expect any of the Hatteras boats to be on here either. Hope your haul was as painless as possible and that the CG did not give you a long unecessary list if you were doing your annual.

That's plenty to give you a good idea of the layout. It really works well for both diving and fishing. The tank racks and bench swap out for fighting chairs in 15 mns.
