Well, OK, it's actually an '88 hull and the bank owns half of it. But, after a pile of paperwork (worse than buying a house!), I finally closed yesterday:
1988 Duffy Downeast Power Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com
The survey (hull & engine) went well - probably the most significant finding being a corroded fuel fill line (about a 1' section above the deck) which the owner fixed.
If I had a choice I could do without some of the complexity systems (of course my wife loves the shower and AC) and upkeep of the teak (and weight of both). But overall, a set of outriggers and a better fishfinder will make this boat the best deal I've seen for 70% cruising/30% fishing.
I'm having it shipped from Florida to Rhode Island and hope to have it somewhere around the 10th, so it looks like I'll miss the Block Island rendezvous.
Now my questions will shift from "which boat" to How do I maintain this beast (coming from a 25' outboard powered cruiser).

Great boat, best of luck. If you ever get it on a scale I think you will be surprised how much heavyer than 16000lbs it is. Beautiful cruiser

Congrats on the new boat! Sweet looking interior and exterior. It's funny it says "South Dartmouth, MA" on the transom and it is in FL. Did the owner sail it down there and then sell?

The previous owners were true snowbirds. They were up here in the summer & down there in the winter. Apparently they had a Captain at both ends that would run the boat.

Matt,

Best of luck with the boat. With all that varnish and teak all I can say is, "You are a far better man than I am, Gunga Din."

You might want to check with Atlantic Boat for the boat's history. I also agree with CB34 as to its' weight, our 33 Duffy is 14,000 with nothing but a head down forward.

Good Luck with her, lots of good info here on the forum.

I talked to Nate. It seems they don't have much on the older boats. He had the name of the person it was built for. He didn't know who finished her. I also talked to Andy at Cape Island. Still waiting for delivery. She gets loaded on the trailer wednesday and trucked here Friday.

You have yourself a truely beautiful yacht. It is really something with all that teak and a nicely done interior. If it looks as good as the pics you did well. Good luck with it.
