I am a newbie here and was told about this forum by a guy I met on Noreast.com.
I bought a Northern Bay hull and have been building her for the last 5 years in Galveston, Texas where these DE boats are non-existant and NOBODY (including me) has any DE boat experience.
The wife and I vacationed in Maine, saw the boats, lost my mind and bought a hull. The rest is a long story with a lot of pleasure and pain.
I am pleased to know of this site so I can ask you folks with experience with these hulls questions.
The hull is balsa core. The rest of it is composite. Splash day is in the next 30 days (I hope)
The up loaded pic of my build is from about 6 months ago and has progressed quite a bit more now
I hope to enjoy this site

My kid went to tamug.

I posted some pics of the deck material in the 'boat builders' section titled "Northern Bay"
Thank you Tuna for telling me about this site ..... exactly what I needed.
Seems to be a whole lot of disfunctional DE builders here - I feel at home
