We did a overnight trip to the south side of Denali and stayed in the little village of Talkeetna for the night, after our great pizza dinner we took a walk down to the big Susitna river to get some pictures of the mountain(Denali) because it was just so clear out. We had been there about 3 weeks ago and this same airboat was tied up to the bank in the same spot well this time it was in the same spot but sunk a bit. I saw a guy by the boat so i went over and asked what happened, it was his sons boat and he sure didn't seen to "boaty" of a person and when his son showed up he was even less boaty. The boat was parked on a cut bank and when he pulled the boat up i think he caused the water to swirl up under the boat and it further cut the bank out and caused the boat to lean over into the current, that runs about 10mph, and the stern corner went under and she just filled up and sunk right there. I helped them get some lines(not much good) and some chains from the boat and around some trees to hold it then a couple of their buddies showed up and we hooked a chain from the boat and on to his truck and they managed to tow the boat up the bank enough to get the ass end out of the water so they could bail it out. Good thing was with the engine up so high i don't think it got any water in it. I went back the next morning but nobody was around and it didn't look like they were to worried about anything !!!

how it looked when i got there

But steve, come on now, that is not pizza by our standards

I ain't NJ pizza but its close, whats worse is what they try to pass off as bread around here it truly sucks, what i wouldn't give for a good pork roll and egg sandwich on a seeded hard roll !!!

I miss getting a simple buttered roll from 7-11. You don't have to move all the way to Alaska to miss NY/NJ bread, bagels, pizza....

you know a belmar special

Now your making me look for plane tickets !! Better yet on a good sub roll !! There used to be a restaurant in Red Bank called Murphy's we went there quite a bit, roasted whole garlic and Italian bread for a appetizer then stuffed pork chops and for like $3 they would "Murphy" anything on the menu when it came out you couldn't see what was under the Murphy it was so loaded with peppers, onions, mushrooms and potatoes. I got to stop i'm drooling on the keyboard. I meet folks here that say their Italian and when i tell them how much i miss sausage peppers onions and mushroom sandwiches or subs they look at me and say they never heard of it but it sounds good???

Buttered rolls from Freedmans bakery and a cup of dunkin donuts coffee, had that every morning going out of shark river inlet to choke another boatload of bluefish and weakfish.
