Best type of slip for wood boats! Keep the fresh water off the decks/topsides. That is where most rot stems from. Keeps maintenance down too- less varnish/paintNot sure how I feel about covered slips.
The one on the left is a Cheseapeake deadrise, I assume. What about the on the right?
Not sure what the one on the right is but from the side it has some down low cool, doesn't jump out very well in the picture. Me, I wish I had a covered slip, the sun really chews up paint and rubber seals. The only downside is birds nesting in the rafters, it has to be constructed or set up with bird netting to keep them out.Not sure how I feel about covered slips.
