Hi Guys,

Had this advertised previously and just wanted to refresh it and add some new pictures.

Was listed with Athearn but listing has expired and going to try it on my own so as not to have to pay them to do the paperwork like last time since I brought the buyer to them.

Boat is currently leased and fishing daily but with an understanding that if a buyer comes along the boat is available for delivery. Last week did a quick haul for paint zincs and inspection, all looked good. 6 man raft is currently being repacked and will be back on the boat this week.

Engine turns 2100 and with clean bottom we got 16kts at 1800, not the speed deamon some are looking for but it will do that 15-16 kts in any weather. Not sure on GPH for fuel but in a typical day 8-10 hour day of hauling lobster gear would be 40+gal a day with close to an hour steaming each way to get to the gear. Tailgate in the pictures is now off but I still have it. Asking 120K. Don't need to sell as it is currently leased but would like to so I can move on to other projects so offers welcome.

Here are the details:

42 OEM F/V Jake & Josephine built by Clark Island Boat Works, solid glass hull 146 wide, open stern with 3 removable tailgate. 700HP -6140 Lugger with 10,000 hours, Walter keel coolers and a Twin Disc 514 gear 2.5:1, 3 SS Shaft with a 5 blade Nibral propeller. 14 Hydro-Slave hauler with PTO off the transmission and separate hydraulic systems for hauler and power steering. 3 Fiberglass fuel tanks for 500+ gallon capacity, 2 large below deck lobster tanks plus another large watertight compartment that could be plumbed for an additional live well and much much more -Boat located in Hull, MA. Mass Coastal Lobster and Federal lobster permit possibly available at additional cost as well as traps. Reduced

Bringing this back up to the top as I am really looking to move the boat by the end of the year. Have reduced to $117,000 (always had luck with number 17 and fan of Lucic) and willing to listen to offers.

Interested to hear your thoughts ( I am thick skinned) as to what will make it sell and value when compared to other similar boats. See lots in the 35-38 foot range but not many 42's and if so they are newer and much higher in price.

I know there is another OEM 42 for sale, same vintage, (two hulls later) with a 700 Iveco vs my 700 Lugger with an asking price of 145K.

I have more pictures if required and boat is available for immediate delivery if necessary.

Want to sell to close out my dad's estate and move on to a smaller DE that my son and I can use.

Let me hear what you think.

For those unfamiliar w/ the Lugger, the 6140 is just broken in. Those engines go for a long time. And there is no doubt the boat was built to last.

Bump

Dropped to 100K or OBO. Really want to move this so I can get in to something else. Willing to listen to offers and thoughts. No offense will be taken, might need to hear the truth of what it will take to move it.

Set up for lobstering but could go dragging, scalloping or gillnetting.

Don't know much about Tuna Wishing other than what I have learned over time on here but think this would be a great platform to turn into what you want/need it to be to fish locally or run to the Canyons.

Let me know

Bumping this back up as I still have the boat. I had a deal in place with a buddy but still waiting for the financing to come around and we mutually agreed I should put it back on the market in case the funds doesn't materialize.

Very motivated to sell and move into something smaller so ready to deal. Boat is in the water, ready for sea trial and immediate delivery, located in Hull, MA just south of Boston

Asking 95,000 and ready to deal. If you have any questions let me know either [email protected] , 857-383-0321 or leave a note here or send a PM

Bumping this back up and dropping to an ask of 90K and yes there is some room there. I can always come down but can't go back up. Willing to listen to offers and or possible trade into something 25-28' that I can commercial lobster out of on a part time basis (2-300 traps).

Boat was my dad's and I don't need something this big and want to move it. wheelhouse needs attention and or replacement depending on your intended use. Travis Otis has a mold for the top if you choose to go that route.

Would make a great canyon boat or fishing in the Gray Zone or whatever you need it to be.

Bumping back up. Hauled and cleaned it up a bit. After cleaning the bottom and with 200+ gallons of fuel and both lobster tanks full she was doing 15.4 kts at 1750. Turns 2100

Yes, sold back in December and staying local in Hull, MA as a lobster boat. Even though fuel prices are coming down the price of lobster is not rising enough to justify 27kts and the fuel it would take.

New owner stepping up from a 35 JC and already has hauled on more days then he would otherwise and was able to load and move 120 traps in one load and reset in 5-6' seas. Not something he could do in the JC.

The JC is for sale and has a 315 QSM with about 3K hours on it. Boat moves right along. Has an open stern but he has the stern and it is able to go in and out as his father would six pack with the boat during the Springs. Well maintained and ready to lobster or Tuna or whatever you need. Think it could be had for a great deal. Owner not on here so you can PM or send me a note and I will get you in touch.

that was a lot of boat for the money! Nice Tank

I believe my cousins friend bout this boat, really nice rig for the money

Funny how when they are for sale they are not worth all the money but after they sell they are a great deal lots of boat for the money, oh well. LOL

Not complaining at all, actually very happy with the deal I made and where the boat ended up so all good in the end.
