Help please..projects continue for my little DE...Been looking at what look like large blocks of styrofoam in the area outboard of the stringers. I prefer ventilation for this area. Anybody else find/have this stuff in their boats? I doubt it's enough to keep the boat afloat. I'm thinking about a way to get it out...Thanks. Tom

I felt the same way, I removed foam during deck replacement. but accidents do happen and that foam may not keep the boat afloat but it will probably keep it from rolling over maybe saving electronics and just make pumping out a swamped boat a lot easier , I'd leave it in as long as it's not deep in the bilge where it can absorb water adding weight
