To see a pod of them up close is awesome, especially the big males with the tall dorsal.And yes they love seals.While on the west coast friends had seals trying to get onto their boat as the Orcas where grabbing them boatside in Morro Bay.Freaked them out.

I saw three just off Sandy Neck a few years back in November after spending a fall in the bay tuna fishing. I was running from Barnstable to the canal and saw them surface only 50 yards off my stbd side. I slowed and watched and confirmed with my buddy what we were looking at. Pretty cool. There was another off Chatham a few years back mid summer and stuck around for a little while. I saw pictures floating around of it

We saw a pod hunting bluefin on Wildcat in the 90's and I have heard stories of them chasing bluefin up to the beach around peaked hill years ago, they are awesome to see but they ended our fishing day pretty quick, all the life disappeared after they came through!

Here is Old Tom at crab ledge. He has come through quite often over the years. He is a big old male. Often seen alone traveling between Canada and FLA.
