I'm trying to get my 20' fiberglass pointer ready for the water. I'm going to repaint the deck and interior sides. What type of sandpaper should I use with my orbital sander? Some of the surfaces are pebbled and others are smooth.

hook & loop 36-40E grit on the "pebbled" (woven roven?) surfaces, 80 on your smooth ones

I concur on the grit, I just did that 2 weeks ago.

BTW if you rig your ROS dust port up to your shop-vac( I taped mine to the hose) it makes life a lot less itchy!

I just repainted my topside and went with 80 worked jest fine. Also check with what paint you are going to use as some require different prep than others.
