Towboat
Deckhand
Just stumbled onto this forum...what a great idea!
I have a 19 foot Pembroke skiff...or at least that's what I think it is...that I'm going to slowly turn into something more than my workboat. Neat hull with a full length keel, fine entry and nice gentle tumblehome. Deck appears to be solid glass and completely sealed. I got the boat with a 30 tiller (as shown) but had sold the motor while the boat sat un used for a couple years due to a completely shot transom.
Now finally back out of the tall grass, I'd like to make this boat into a nice day boat for island exploring & camping with the GF and dogs. Does anyone know who built these boats? I'm trying to decide on the power & have no idea what it is rated for. The 30 pushed it fine with just me, but load it up with traps or a few people and it wasn't enough. Also, the 30 didn't seem heavy enough. When at rest at a dock or mooring, rainwater would pool at the bow.
I have a line on a 2006 ETEC 40 tiller which is about 250lbs. This motor is also easily converted from tiller to remote in case I want a console at some point. Not sure if this is enough power...or maybe the motor is too heavy?
Any imput would be greatly appreciated
