I went north this past weekend and got some pictures of two new Flowers 38s being built. One is set up for cruising and the blue boat is going to be finished as a tuna boat with that 1000HP Cat. Some cool shots of things going together.

Is the white on white cruiser the one with the QSC Cummins? If so, then both those boats were in the shop when I was there in August. Not much room in the shop to get a good side shot is there? Thanks for posting.

Powderpro,
I think but am not sure if both boats were there in August but I do know the cruiser was there while you were in town.

I am hoping to get a ride on the 38 with the 1000HP in the spring, if I like it I may have to bite the bullet and move up.

I remember Ken telling me about the 1,000 engine, it wasn't much more than just a bare hull in the shop when I was there. I think he said they were projecting it to go something like 45+ mph?

I guess the owner wants to be able to get out to the canyons quickly. Pick the right day and he will be there in no time. It will be fast for sure.

Back when we were building the boat the engines were running about 70K for the C12, 80K for the C15 and 100K for the C18, and that was complete with gear, cooling and electronic controls. But from what I have heard the prices have come down a little for some models so I have no idea where they are today.
As for my boat I am not selling yet, I like it a lot and it is going to take something very impressive for me to move up. Then again my kids could make the decision for me.:)
