I am ready to move up to a moderately larger single diesel boat. I have three young sons and were ready to expand our horizions, so my

1998 26' Columbia II Northsider Pilot House Downeaster single yanmar diesel 4lh,hte is for sale

9'3" beam and full fiberglass keel

Forward V- Berth, head with holding tank, cabin heat, custom stern rail, dinette/sleeper and optional stern controls and tiller.

I bought the boat with the original crusader, and at the begining of this season and decided to go diesel.

I didn't plan on selling the boat thats why i decided to have the yanmar installed but i have fallen for an other.
Please don't tell my wife.


The engine is currently being installed by yanmar certified tech. It is used and it has been recertified by Yanmar. the hours are low but i do not have an exact # rite now. As far as the cruise #s we believe she will cruise @14-15 knots and top near 20. The burn is estimated around 4-5 gals. per hour.

It really is Capt. Dave Thanks for the comments. she is a good riding boat at 26-2800 she ran15mph @ cruise. Shes very comfortable for the wife and kids, and nice and warm for the fall into the winter fishing.

Well its Been awhile but the boat now sits in the water and the alignment and sea trails for the engine should begin soon. I hope sooner then later looks like the weather is breaking.
Looks like this will be a sweet engine and a bit more space in the engine compartment.

We have what looks to be the numbers for the engine.

We ended up buying a new nibral 3 blade prop 16x14 which allows the engine to turn up to 3220 rmp's top speed so far has been 22.5 mph'
Cruise for me rite know is 2650rpm's speed was 17mph. We also went with the larger racor filter the 900 series.
I also added some current pictures of the finished installation.

Pilothouse

I am in the process of getting the boat ready for an early launch. Probably the second week of Febraury.
For Anybody who might be interested in my boat.
The boat boat will be all shined up and bottom painted as well as full tanks.
Get a jump on the spring fishing even if its a little chilly you will be comfortable in a nice toasty cabin.

Nice rig, best of luck with the sale. Pictures of the canals bring back memories. Live in the hood until 89, my brother purchased the house when I moved to Ma. Sandy took the house, after 2 1/2 years of battle he just broke ground last week. His flood and homeowners have not paid a dime.

Really like being in the south bay on Long Island. Been here going on 11 years.
There is so much verity. Snapper and crab fishing at the dock,
clamming and digging bait on the flats.
plenty of fish in the bays and channels as well as in the ocean.
