Pot Davit

Can anyone suggest a good welder or place to buy a davit. I have looked at these Discovery Bay Marine Gear | Fishing Gear | Crabbing Equipment | Crab Pot Pullers The total package is about $250 but I would like to get it locally if possible. Any suggestions welcome.

I would be glad to do it. I have built several nice davits for some of the other commercial boats around here and all are happy with them. I have a thread in the downeast engine room that has pics of some of my stainless work. The thread is titled Absolutly exhausted. Have a look and if you decide to take the next step, gimme a shout on the PM. I can build you anything that you want exactly the way that you want it.

Electradyne offers (or used to) a davit/block for there haulers.
A buddy of mine has one on his 22 Eastern keel boat.
