I was at a boat yard the otherday and noticed this big Cabo with the prop nuts installed backwards.I said to my mate, check this out!The nuts are on wrong. What a mistake that was...the guy waxing the boat blew it on me..telling me that this is how its done all over the world.Australia does it this way and so does Europe. He said he wanted proof that it was wrong and he wanted to see some info from USCG.The next day I had my proof.Whats up with these guys? Is it just plain laziness that they install them backwards?I was also wondering about insurance. If you loose a prop and the insurance guy sees that the other prop has backward nuts on it,can this effect your claim.Has that ever happened before?

I would have to guess that most people think they go on big nut first. Alot of very good mechanics install them backwards. What are you doing talking to a Cabo guy anyway!! :)
