Pulled out the M.D.I. for acid bath bottom paint and prop checked..here are some pictures of before and after acid bath

That's some travel lift! I guess they move boats around the marina with a trailer? That boat is still a beast!

acid bath ??? whats that ?? oxalic acid ? I just use a garden sprayer and clorox.
Steve,I was using ON/OFF from west marine ....Then Travis First Team wrote about a product called The Works(blue bottle)..its a bathroom cleaner.... but its for rust and lime and hard water stains....it cost 1.22 at Walmart...its kick ass stuff....i will print the active stuff in it tomorrow ...i left the bottle at the boat

They haul boats up to 60 foot with that thing and then they move them with a trailer and tractor.... its a old lift but it gets the job done ......and its electric..

What a big boat! The company in town (Battelle Labs Duxbury) has a 45 MDI for research, Awesome boats. Could play tennis on the back deck

I bet one of the main ingredients is oxalic acid you can buy it in powered form at most paint stores they sell it as wood bleach, just mix up what you need in a bucket put it on with a sponge mop and watch that yellow scum go away. I used to do the St Pat with it all the time.

I haven't had any bad reactions yet on the plastic portions of the boat, wasn't too impressed with what it did to the bronze deck plates, but then again I just sprayed it and left it, should have swabbed it around an washed it off. Just left an annoying pattern.

Don't use it on concrete, eats the lime out of it.
