QSC 8.3 getting ready to ship from Seaboard Marine

Here's a short video of Tony Athens firing up one of two QSC 8.3s before delivery to a customer. That MF engine must be LOUD standing next to it.

You can bet the impeller was pulled or the belt was removed off the pump BEFORE he fired it off.

Overall Bill the 8.3 is a reasonably quiet engine and it is very smooth through the whole rpm range. The thing that I enjoy most about it is the how little turbo whine there is compared to my volvo.

Not mine. What you see is a QSC 8.3 liter inline 6. HUGE footprint 2200 lbs +- with gear. The 25 T Jason would sit pretty low in the water with a QSC in it.

Not sure if it is a RECON or not.

Cant seem to follow what you are planning for power. Was thinking that was a bit big to fit under the hood. Would be fun as hell though.
