Question About Salt Water Systems

I have just recently opened a ball valve in my engine compartment. Could someone please come and verify that it is indeed open? :ugeek:

Seems like you got a problem on your hands.. disconnect the hose on the outlet side of the sea cock and cycle the valve..if you boat fills up with water then its open.. if not prob closed..

Peerchecker,when the handel is straight up the valve should be open....when the handle is at a 45 degree angle it is shut.....good luck

As MDI said, handle inline with the valve and she's open.

What is the valve to? Cooling, washdown, etc?? I assume cooler since this is the motor section.

Have you checked your impeller??
