all i know is what he wanted to do was a shitload of work. that wasn't a 2 weekend job.

I'm certainly no virgin to "shotloads of work"
A typical day in my life.
Been doing this stuff since I was a young kid.
When most kids were getting signed up for little league, my grandfather had me tearing down engines, doing break jobs, exhaust systems, ect....
Think I was 10 or 11 when I did my 1st paint job.
Not boat related but I've fixed my share of wrecked Corvette's over the years. Owned a few of them also.

nice frame machine, my uncle got me into resto's around 13yrs old. same shit you did(tear downs, rebuilds, brakes exhaust, welding), then got into race cars and chasis works, then mechanics- body shop. Then the industry died. I got out, got tired or 20 bucks an hour. I actually have a 90 notch fox coming out of bodywork hopefully soon. Converted from aod to t5, 4 wheel disc brake conversion. All ford OEM parts, iron heads ford castings (not aftermarket) with a custom grind, she went 11:80's on street tires.
