I have been running a 13.75x 15p 3 blade prop on my 60hp johnson which maxes out at about 5600. 80% of the time I operate the boat between 7-10 knots with occasional 20 knot runs in between .
At slow speed I don't seem to get a good bite in the currents and the motor doesn't seem to like running at 1800 rpm for long periods of time. I'm thinking of trying a 13.25 x 13p 4 blade to see if I can improve the bite and bring the RPMs at slow speed up a little.

Any of you have experience with 4 blade props? Any recommendations ?

I bought a Solas 13 1/4 x 13p 4 blade. The added blade area certainly makes a difference at lower speeds and maneuvering in tight quarters. Noticeably less vibration at cruising speed and the bow isn't riding as high. I moved the motor up the transom a notch yesterday and the boat was faster from mid throttle to full. My RPM's are about 200 rpm higher than the 14 x 15 prop at 25 knots.
