I just installed the Norcold NR740 (1.7CF) to replace my dead Norcold DE251D (in a 35 Duffy). It's good enough for food but not really setup well to hold a lot of beverages. We use a cooler/ice to hold bevs... You might want the 2.7CF if you're looking to hold more...
The cooling system for the compressor on the Norcold looks pretty good. It draws air in on the right front/bottom and ejects it on left front/bottom, doesn't require additional venting beyond the open strip at the bottom.
Heat is usually the killer of boat mounted reefers...

It's in and running. :) Nice unit, bigger than I probably need. It blows the hot air from the condenser out the bottom. Nice design. Just have to figure out the best way for a grill at the bottom. Don't want all my mooring dirt and stuff going in there. Tomorrow we start glassing the top, on the bench.
