I removed the flying bridge off the boat a few years ago and missed having rod holders on the upper rails. After putting it off I finally had one fabricated by Eric Kent of Kentfab in Pembroke, MA. Price was reasonable and it has eight holders and had three aluminum plates to mount it along with three aluminum backing plates. It feels secure enough even to add a rod there to troll for school tuna as long as it has a light drag. I also believe it makes the boat look more like a fishing boat also. Now if we could just get some weather so we can get back out cod fishing.
