from what i understand, it comes with the USE of the top mold. you need to provide the materials for it.
i'll have more info when i get off work tonight. i think it was the last one cast before the fire took RP out of the game.

F/V First Team,
Great lookin hull. Conservatively, what do you think it will take $$ wise to finish and splash that pretty hull with moderate hp and some bells and whistles??Jo

Great hull and huge for a 31'. You should be able add a very well proportioned house with no engine box using a Yanmar...maybe IVECO

That I would like to see.....that is no engine box above the deck. Then I would be interested as well. That is why I stuck to but brackett mounted an outboard my 26' Seaway workboat. The OB makes longlining harder but not un-doable as long as you do not make any "hard" left turns while setting out. Hauling back is not a problem at all.
The engine box, above deck, simply eats up too much deckspace in my workboat app. Maybe not a huge issue for lobstering, but as a longliner I can not give up all that space....FWIW Jo

You can def. fit the engine under the deck, but not all engines. Yanmar, Cummins or Volvo would fit, i know cause i own one and these were the choices
we could do to get it under. I have a 4" step up to the house to accomplish this.

Why wouldn"t they make a mold off that hull? I heard they may give it another shot. Seems like the easiest way to get a mold at the moment

I'd get a boat, just get me the financing! Insane how I can go out and get just about any boat off the shelf but when it comes to a downeast, especially trying to build one turns into another issue.

cb34 - Here are the #'s you wanted - She is powered by a 435HP D6 Volvo.

1000 RPM 6.9 Knots .7 gal. per hour
1500 RPM 8.4 Knots 2.9 gal. per hour
1850 RPM 10.4 Knots 4.3 gal. per hour
2000 RPM 11.3 Knots 5.3 gal. per hour
2500 RPM 15.9 Knots 9 gal. per hour
2700 RPM 18 Knots 10.7 gal. per hour
2850 RPM 18.5 Knots 12.2 gal. per hour
3000 RPM 20.9 Knots 13.9 gal. per hour
3280 RPM 23.9 Knots ? gal. per hour
3600 WOT 26.9 Knots 22 gal. per hour

I am very happy with those numbers-that was with a full load of fuel and 5 guys aboard. The hull is a skeg built style which lends itself to speed. Really designed to haul a butt load of traps and gear. She is big and beamy so you have alot of hull in the water to push. But for me, I love the cockpit size as Im using the boat for charter fishinng so the bigger and more roomy the better. She does carry alot of weight very well and handles the speed well. The most comfortable running speed for this boat is 14-18 knots. She likes it in that range and she will just hum along all day long and ride beautiful.
