I love the Gurdys !
I can't afford the line counter reels, so I use multi-color line and have to countI have one i got from KTP one piece and one i got from Cabella's two piece that i never took apart so now it's a one piece.I really like them. A line counter reel is great to have also so you can target different species at different depths. If you see herring at 25 fathoms it's easy to stop right there. Easy.
There cheep on sale at Cabella's. Sometimes less than $30. They usually last 3 or 4 seasons if you leave them out and 5 or 6 if you leave them undercover.I can't afford the line counter reels, so I use multi-color line and have to countHelps keep me focused.
Bait Rig - Sabiki Style | Monomoy TackleI use the red ones.
Really wish they would sell sabiki's in 3-4 hooks strings, always cut down my sabiki rigs to 3-4 hooks easier to handle when you get into the bait.

Those seem like big hooks for herring?
He offers them in any sizeThose seem like big hooks for herring?
I finally bought one of those, just to try it out.I have “the bait stick” sabiki rods with Penn 15 warfare level wind line counter reel. Only things I don’t like with the sabiki rods are they are pretty stiff and they can’t take the bigger hooks.
They are nice just reel them in and done
I use Hayabusa size # 6 and # 8 with my Cortez. Can sabikis with numbers 4 hooks be reeled in to the Cortez rods?
Thanks
