I have an Okuma Cortez 2 piece rod that I think is 7' 6" assembled; my daughter loves to catch macs and this makes for a safe set up.

I have one i got from KTP one piece and one i got from Cabella's two piece that i never took apart so now it's a one piece. I really like them. A line counter reel is great to have also so you can target different species at different depths. If you see herring at 25 fathoms it's easy to stop right there. Easy.
I can't afford the line counter reels, so I use multi-color line and have to count:) Helps keep me focused.

I have “the bait stick” sabiki rods with Penn 15 warfare level wind line counter reel. Only things I don’t like with the sabiki rods are they are pretty stiff and they can’t take the bigger hooks.

They are nice just reel them in and done

I have a few of the sabiki rods, they are great as long as your make sure you buy the correct size hook that fits inside the tube.
I typically cut a few hooks off so that the entire rig fits inside the tube.

I use the red ones.
Really wish they would sell sabiki's in 3-4 hooks strings, always cut down my sabiki rigs to 3-4 hooks easier to handle when you get into the bait.

Hogy's diesel sabiki rigs have caught me all kinds of fish from mackerel to lunker cod. They are over built and can be reused many times. Also don't tangle like the others on thin line. I'm in southern Rhode Island

Those Cortez rods are decent. My buddy brings them on my boat and they seem pretty bendy

I finally bought one of those, just to try it out.
It is too stiff, causes me to break off a lot of fish that I know I could have caught with my old favorite Ugly Stick.
Im putting on a 20’ top shot of mono to give it more stretch, hopefully that will help.
