Hi guys,

Admittedly my boat isn’t a downeast (I wish it was) but since there is a lot of knowledgeable people on here I thought I would look for some advice.
I took the hardtop off of my boat to recore it this winter and I finally finished and am ready to mount it. When I took it off there was gasket between the hardtop and the aluminum frame. I tried to contact the builder and didn’t get anything back. I looked around and found an EPDM seal that I think will do the trick but I wanted to see if anyone had any advice or thoughts otherwise.
Thanks for the help.
Mike

Sounds like you're on the right track, probably just something to hinder vibration from the hardtop against the aluminum so the coating isn't degraded to permit corrosion to begin.
