Finally bought my next boat. 2021 Seaway 24 with a Honda 135 and trailer. Having it shipped down from RI. Should be here mid week.

Well equipped. Had her surveyed and Maritime Solutions in Portsmouth gave the engine a clean bill of health with about 140 hours and still under warranty.

Garmin 943xsv with xHD radar, Garmin VHF (that'll be replaced).

Shipper picked her up earlier this afternoon.

Well done Rick I'd be interested in your comparison with your past Sisu 22. They are different hull shapes but construction and quality should be very similar.

Looks identical to mine with exception of OB bracket. 3 seasons on 135 Honda, 600+ hrs, zero problems. Good luck.

Rob, It'll be interesting to compare. The keel on the Seaway is less substantial than on the Sisu, and it has hard chines vs soft.

JRB and 321, glad to hear about the Honda's. I've never had one so I was a little concerned since I was unfamiliar. Have heard mostly good things.

Can you guys tell me what cruising speed and fuel burn is?

Nice boat. Congrats. I have a 2016 24' seaway configured as a cc with a Honda 135. We have been very happy with the entire package. Absolutely love the Honda 135.....6 years of trouble free usage.

My sweet spot is 3900 rpm which gives me 17-20 mph based on load & sea conditions. Bump it up to 4200 rpm she'll cruise at solid 20+, I've opened her up a couple of times for a short period to test WOT (5500 rpm), she'll top-end around 30 mph. Can't give you an accurate mpg other to say she sips fuel at 3900 rpm.

My chart plotter reports it as miles per hour (MPH), speed over ground (SOG).

Ok, thanks. 15 - 17 knots roughly at 3900 RPM. That's about what I expected. I'd like to get a NMEA2K cable hooked up to the MFD for fuel burn stats.

No fuel burn rate yet. But, it's a 15"x15" prop. 4,000 RPM is 18 Kts. 3,800 RPM is a touch over 16 Kts.

Good to know as my tach was set wrong and I'm looking forward to getting good numbers this season.

Same prop, numbers seem consistent with mine, fuel burn should be as well.

Picked up a 2015 24HT with 115HP Merc last November. Beening running the boat for past 5 months several days a week out of Sombrero Beach, Marathon Key. Eats up the chop.

Very nice set up; did you install the bow mounted auxiliary Rhodan motor? I was wondering how well it would work off the high bow versus a stern mount; I was thinking of getting one for spot lock anchoring if it works well instead of hand hauling my anchor.

Yes, I installed rhodan 84 " 36 V with shuttle slide. Been using it constantly in up to 3-4 foot tight chop. Holds boat with no issues. On this hull I would go with 96" to eliminate cavitation. I move the 84 " between 2 different boats. 8D lithium 120ah battery from lithium battery power company out of Florida. Just had the bow rail done by Sherman Marine in Big Pine. Motor is to deploy given the 28" bow rail height.
