I like it smaller and functional as well. Which is why I was set on cutting it back as soon as I saw it in the previous owners yard. It would likely mean giving up the "swirl" on the side lights, where it goes convex to concave. It's one of the features that always caught my eye.

The supports do get in the way when fishing, they actually get in the way of everything. A nice short top it is comin my way- no legs. Harp83, yeah I did measure and I think the top was something like 3.5-4" from being parallel with the water line. Ok scum line. Almost exactly what it appears in the one pic that is wonky.

Maybe I'll get one of those triangular shade sails to cover the dance floor. In tanbark. So to keep her looking somewhat old school.
