Hello, first time poster here, but have been lurking for several months. I'm interested in building a downeastern style boat between 26 and 28 feet. I would probably power with an outboard 125-150 HP. I'm interested in extended coastal cruising, possibly the "Great loop". I've got a little fiberglass experience and would also like to use Baltex Duracore strips. Has anyone built anything similar, or have used Duracore planking? I really like the Eastern 24 and would like to find plans similar, but a bit longer, 26-28'. I appreciate any feedback!
Thanks!!
Bob

I like how you have the keel going most of the way back and then sloping up to the transom. We extended ours on the 26 seaway to pretty much your sketch and it makes an incredible difference.

just a doodle i've been working on in my spare time. if there is enough interest i'll do some sure, currently slated as a one-off for the time being. keel is like 3 inches or so, draft is like 10-11 i think
