Wow you guys are still talking about me? Does anyone actually care about this fishery or do you want to keep calling me an asshole?

Mr. Barnstable, as a recovering asshole, I feel qualified to make this statement. You are an asshole. Not just a plain run of the mill asshole but an extremely annoying asshole.
Thank you for contributing to the topic.

You think someone could just change the topic to “thoughts and opinions about Jake Angelo?”

I’m a busy, I don’t have time for random guys online busting my balls… period. I’m in this thread to discuss this fishery that I have personally started in my town and have a lot of interest in. If you don’t like how I talk to them keep it to your self. If you are interested in dredging please keep reading my friend.

Watch the link. Discussion starts at 10:50.

Back story: the Mills River was paved with tops, cherries, and chowders, all blunts. No seed. We tried to bull take it for a few years but it was just myself and tyler. We would get massive chunks of boring sponge caught in the teeth and the clams were so thick it was hard to get the rake in. It was a resource that was being wasted and taking up space for new sets. We had a year of discussion and guest speakers on the topic and one town relay where the town watched me harvest with the dredge in a closed area and replanted them. Last year I pulled the first quahog dredge in Barnstable for the first time ever after all the old timers laughed and told me “that will neeeevvveeerrr happen!” This video is where our town is at year two and our thoughts for the future.

Did anyone read this post? Does no one care about doing this in their town, or trying to pave the way for younger generations? What the hell is with all of you? Keep analyzing me! I have a fishing business, a wholesaler business, active in town, and state fisheries management, very active in protecting the marine environment and still have time to talk to folks on here about getting dredging through in their dying shellfisheries.

What do you guys do for the fisheries? Do you care about the future fisheries? Do you care about the degradation in our estuaries? Did you fight regulations but eventually gave up?

I’d like to know because maybe we can help each other? Go back and read from the start, im here to help people quahog dredge. Several people have private messaged me for advice but the main thread remains useless.

Jake,
It sounds like you have a pretty good thing going on down there and that you have a passion for what your doing, those are both great things.

There are a lot of people here maybe they haven't done exactly what you are doing, but have been around for many many years and been involved at various levels with fishing management and can share valuable information with everyone reading.

Every day there is information on here that most people don't have access to anywhere else.

Guys tend to get a little defensive when you call out or are disrespectful to one of the most well respected guys here, who was commercial fishing since the WW2 era.

I am sure that people here would like to hear more about what you are doing and if it could be applicable to other areas.

If you are interested you can private messages me questions. I’m not posting information on this forum anymore.
