Ok, I got blind sided by the tourny dates. It is THIS WEEKEND!!!!

It is out of snug harbor (point judith on the wakefield side) in RI. Fishing days are sat and sunday. Wx looks ok.

I'm looking for crew. Shoot me a message if you want to fish it and I'll let you know the costs and we can see if there is still room.

Tx

(ps - boat is a 35 downeast with full safety gear).

That is one shark tournament I've never fished, went to the website was hoping for more...

Always used to fish the OBMST, god had to be the best for the most part. Star Island and Montauk Marine Basin as well. Something I always enjoyed more about Montauk Marine Basin than Star island, perhaps it was the everything is just out to have fun and kinda laid back. Next year I hope to be doing both Montauk Tournament and curios how the no kill one works out.

Well this isn't the same experience as the montauk tournies or obmst.

There are no after fishing parties organized for example, and all the boats are local in their own slips, so you wouldn't even know it was going on if you weren't trying to get fuel or bait the morning of the fishing days or in the afternoons during weigh ins.

That's kind of what I like about it. It's an anti-toruny tourny. ;)

But the money isn't there, and neither are the ego's for the most part (nor the dockside fist fights). So it's not something the hard core tournament crowd will flock to, even with nothing else going on.
