I am repowering in the near future my 28 T Jason. I want to quiet this boat down as much as possible. The engine box has two layers of sound down on it, but I was thinking of using 2-part spray foam under the deck in the cabin to realy cut down on the sound any thoughts?
Also will adding a headliner to the cabin reduce sound, or is it jus looks?

Thanks

No experience with the foam you mention. Fireproof? That would be my question. I can say that the paint/roll on "Silent Running" soundproofing is useless. When the engine is out get in there and close all holes through the bulkheads, baffle the air intakes, apply proper lead/foam sound insulation to everything. Your ears will thank you.
