I'll need to be purchasing a rub rail soon, and a lot of it. 47' novi, need one traditional one around the rail and also one lower due to the bloated hull shape for 2/3 of the length. I was looking at Taco's flexible vinyl with the insert which is what is on there currently (only around the bow),

and one from Hamilton, a one piece PVC half round. Looking for the widest width I can get without spending $2k. Any leads or info would be appreciated. Thanks

Tim

Haha. I know it had the Taco for a long time, but I think the previous owner was always rafted. I'll be rafted and against the bulkhead. I'm also trying to picture stretching the Taco to fit on something that long. Seems like a nightmare. The solid pvc kind is nice because it doesn't need to be stretched, just screwed/bolted in and you can cut it very easily. Just wanted to know if anyone had one they love.

I just bought all my rails for my Sisu from them. Not sure if they have something that will work for you or not. A lot cheaper then Hamilton.

Rub rails you say, I prefer 973 for rub rail, comes with a toe rail built in, just lop off that silly little tail on the bottom, for a more commercial application where the turn of your hull is outboard more than your sheer I would suggest 1048 or 1080. Hamilton part numbers

The link tunaorlater posted for Integrity Marine seems to have the best pricing. I might give them a shout. I don't need a toe rail with the way my coaming is.

I bought my spray rails from Mark Demers- the owner of INtegrity Marine. He's a great guy and will give you a good price. He's the VP of Sales at Barbour Plastics and is much cheaper than Hamilton.
