We uncovered the boat two weeks ago and started getting her ready. Late last year I was hit and cracked the rub rails. I decided to replace them all this spring. I purchased the Rub Rails from Welcome to Barbour Corporation, Barbour Plastics and Barbour Welting. As always Barbour was great to work with and makes a great products. Below is my progress.

I washed the hull with Bon Ami and sanded with 320 dry.

My wife then wet sanded the hull to prep for one more coat of Brightside.

Rub Rail attached to the bow, we used Sikaflex 410 LOT and SS #8 screws

Rub rails attached and one last coat of Brightside rolled and tipped by my wife. I was stuck with crawling under the trailer and painting the bottom, not fun.

The whole family got into it. My 4 year old painting the bottom of our new dingy.

She is launched and sitting at the dock. Next step is to add to grab rails to the cabin top.

EP do you know if I could move this thread to the project section without starting over?

That's exactly what I have now but on mine the plywood is cut to flp up so a porta potty goes underneath

We put a porta potty under the bunk and slide it out when needed. My 4 year old is the only one that uses it so we don't need a built in look. I have thought of building a plywood bunk extension to create a full v-birth but it seems like a lot of work for one or two nights a year.
