Stainless transom corner trip

Saw in the Wesmac facelift thread and something I did a quick search for,
Anyone else have this stainless trip on your transom corners ?
Or anyone know where to buy ?
Imagine you buy long lengths and cut & fit.

We get ours fabricated at Nautilus Marine if they need to wrap around the corners. Most guys just want the solid back stainless trim along the outward edge.

They need to be custom to hull. I asked Ken if he had a mold for one of the hulls he lays up and unfortunately he did not. Need to find someone who has a plasma cutter to make them up for your particular hull. If you find anyone let us know.

I have a set; I made some patterns and brought them to a fabricator. Some boats are more difficult than others, radius corners or just straight edges will dictate the cost.

Good thing I have no desire to seek employment as a bookkeeper or secretary, I suck at typing !
Not only did I type Trip instead of Trim in the title, I typed it again (Trip) in the thread !

I'm all set on the fabrication end as that's my thing.
Need a source for about 4ft of material to start with.

How are most attaching them, thru bolted ?
Can't see close enough from the picture.

1/2" self tapping flat head #8's work pretty sweet
If you're going to through bolt them, might I suggest 1/4-20's and some barrel nuts on the inside, you will have to make your flange pieces much wider though to get away from the interior corner of the radius.

I got mine from the scrap yard. People scrap a lot of 5-10ft stainless and they had lots of angle stuff

Made mine out of aluminum and installed with aluminum self tapping screws. being a softer metal it was very easy to work with and they still look great after 6 years.

what real purpose do they serve? i did hang up on a bolt sticking out of the dock once..but thats about it.. quarter gaurd on the side and the rub rail sticks out past the transom..
just seems like alot of work for that

Ok thats it, this spring im putting them on my jc. I constantly have anchor lines running down the sides of my boat with the anchor ball system i use.

Plus i do thiink they sexy too

I have a stainless steel cut water on my boat, someday I will have bronze trim along the toerail and other places. Just haven't bought the stock and set up the drill press to manufacture it.
