Eaton's Boat Shop out on Deer Isle, Maine just finished the refit and repower of this 40 year old Stanley 36' including the choice of a Yanmar 6LY440.

Wonderful to see this classic boat prepared for another generation on the water - we appreciate them choosing Yanmar.

Yes. Both the 6LY400 and 6LY440 are light-duty commercial rated. 1000hours/year. Thank you for asking - appreciated.

Jay is no longer at Mack Boring. The boat turned out really well. I don’t remember the number but basically the same song and dance with anyone that goes from an old mechanical to new HPCR. Even with the gain in hp the fuel burn was less, speed was gained, and it was much quieter.
The official DieselJerry opinion is if it would fit a Cummins 6.7 or refurbished 5.9 would have been a better choice.
