I saw a 44' stanley for ssale online...just wondering if anyone is still making the fiberglass Stanley hulls New??

Daytripper are you saying John williams Co builds the ralph stanleys or lyford ? Didnt think you could get a new ralph stanley. Love that old boat. my father fished a 36 for a while when i was growing up. boat was flat out reliable. like your old 3/4 ton chev that just wont quit. We did everything outa that boat from scalloping, urchining, lobstering, tuna fishing to mooring repair and commercial diving aswell as pushing barges sometimes loaded with cement trucks and dump trucks

There is a Stanley line of glass boats and then there is the Ralph Stanley line of fine wooden boats. The 44 is a glass boat which Ralph did not build. Ralph Stanley may ( can't remember for sure) have tried doing glass boats but I don't think he wanted any part of them for long.

Sam - I think that Lyford Stanley designed all the John Williams co boats. Pretty sure that Ralph never did any glass boats.

Ralph Stanley is currently building violins in Maine.
If they are anything like his boats, think Stradavarius!!!!
