TJason 28 - In Process
After a number of months of putting together specs, redoing specs and talking to builders etc. I finally put down my deposit on a new T Jason 28. Terry will start the hull in a few weeks - delivery in April. She will be equipped with a 330hp 5.7 MPI crusader. I am outfitting the boat as a CC. Will post specs and pics when I can.

This forum has been a great source of info and help in my project...tx!

That sounds like a fantastic idea...right up my alley as to what I would want.
Look forward to the progress, and am excited for you!

Now I will have something to keep me occupied during the cold winter months.

Congrats on the new build Steiger. I have always liked the 28 Jason but we don't see many of them around.

Boat Pics

Hey folks - Here are a few pics. I have been checked out for a while with work etc. but things finally got underway. The boat will come out of the mold any day now.

Once I got my head back in the process, I started debating the cabin versus CC. Terry loves the CC idea and, based on my use etc. thinks this is the right call for me. I agreed.....CC it is.

Hope you enjoy.

Eric

Out of the Mold

The boat came out of the mold yesterday. While I was pretty psyched about the progress, I was a bit concerned about the color. Terry assures me the color is a very dark flag blue.....still a bunch of wax, grinder dust etc. covering the hull.

The color choice was a hard one....I was inclined to go with a white hull just for maintenance reasons but always wanted a color hull. In the end, its a custom boat so I might as well get what I want.

I need to choose a boot stripe (2 or 3") and bottom color. Thoughts?

Grandslam...love the pics. Any thoughts, suggestions, enhancements etc. for this boat would be appreciated.

My brothers 35 is flag blue. Looks great but was never fun when I had wax duty. Is it inboard or outboard. If inboard def get a belt driven wash down. I added some starboard pieces in the cockpit so the gunnels came up above my knees. You might want to consider this, to avoid a knee knocker. Tell Terry I said Hi.
Good luck. Tom
