you could actually use just the nema0813 off the smart sensor and connect it to any display you do have that can read Nema 0813 and get away with out the RD 30 display to save some $$$. Good luck

I have the RD-30 with a separate 235 khz depth and temp transducer. Works great, temp displays in tenth of a degree increments.
I had a Dytek unit I was going to install but found no need with the RD-30.
Although I do input temp to other displays on my boat, if you are going to input the temp to read it on your MFD, and do not need or want another dedicated temp display, then you do not need the RD-30 display. The RD-30 is a display that its biggest advantage is the ability to read and show multiple nema inputs. Just get the smart sensor and wire it into the MFD NEMA input. Good luck.
