A huge thank you to Wharf Rat (Chris) at Precision Marine! He saved me a ton of money on repairs for my Furuno FCV-295. Like $2,500 worth! Gotta love warranty coverage after your warranty expires. Chris is very knowledgeable and it is very obvious that he loves his job.
For anyone in Maine that is still dealing with Sawyer&Whitten, STOP and give Chris a call!

Thank You Chris!

Kyle,

Thanks so much for the post, I really appreciate it. I'm not here to try and take any business away from Sawyer and Whitten, they are a respected outfit and NMEA member. I'm here to help, and if there's some way I can help someone that another company can't, I will always be willing to do so. In your case, you bought a boat that had non-registered equipment, and the only record was of it being sold to a dealer, which is always a gray area. Furuno was willing to still take care of you and the unit considering the circumstances. They are an incredible company to work with and always stand behind their products, which is rare these days. All I did was speak to the right people and explain the situation.
I sincerely appreciate the personal compliments, I really do love this industry, and chose this forum as it's a tightly knit group of people who know boats, and it's just very refreshing to have that type of working relationship with down to Earth people like you. Thanks again.
