Girlfriend works for Liberty Mutual...this is a Safeco boat insurance advertisement. She had to send it to me since

"All they ever talk about is that boat! Putting the boat in the water, taking to the boat out of the water, the boat the boat the boat!"

However the commercial would be cooler if they had a downeast in there somewhere but what do you expect for something designed to appeal to the masses?

We had liberty mutual as our insurance. After all of the rod thefts I confirmed with the carrier how much my rods were insured for. Their answer $2k.

Goodbye Liberty Mutual.

I'm now with Deland & Gibson on the Cape. I'm insured for a lot more than that.

Bought a new Tidewater trailer in April and out of laziness/ease just added it onto my Commerce policy thinking I was getting a deal at just under $200.

Just for kicks called BoatUS and they were able to give me BETTER coverage on both an agreed value policy on hull and trailer for LESS than what Commerce was charging me on just the trailer...! Obviously I dropped Commerce like a bad habit.

It's funny the disparities in coverage and costs with insurance, especially for boats.

How much did you go out of pocket on the rods?

I'm not sure the exact amount. I added charter insurance too.

I have to re-survey the boat. That sucks.
