The MC is getting the last of her metal fabrication finalized.

And yes, a Sisu will be replacing the hummin cummins

No racing planned for this old girl, but then again, one never plans on racing it...

Travis,

Are you going to put a new (non/minimal leaking) engine hatch in the boat for the owner?
What year is the Cummins?
Never seen one turned into a rust bucket like this one.:(

I realize this is a $work$ boat money generator.

Curious?

that is the second cummins in her, the hatch wasnt the issue, the water was introduced from the other direction...

running joke is that the boat has pms since its holding all this water in her, seems to be everywhere, all from the bronze packing glands. so those are coming out, new tube going in, dripless all around. new raw water system.

yeah, the strainer was good for a few chuckles.

The engine box will be higher so it should be tighter.Every B series I've seen in a lobster boat looks like that.My son had a 260,looked the same,we even cleaned it up and repainted it ot of the boat and in one season it looked just like that again. Whats the shear on that 35 Travis, looks to be a medium hieght, cant see the scuppers.

Not sure what the sheer height is, haven't measured it.

Working on 300 gallons of water being taken out of her from the various places. I have a sneaking suspicion that there is still more lurking under the forward platform ahead of the steering bulkhead since there are two distinct scum lines on the bottom paint, four inches apart...

Transmission that was selected for the repower is a straight gear, so the nose of the engine is going to be much higher than I was anticipating, this means all of the belt driven systems get to be relocated, hopefully the hydraulic tank and the overflow won't have to be moved...

Fun times, fun times
