Yeah I am thinking a bench across the transom to put batteries and gas tanks in. A long dock box going for and aft in the middle. Then a bunk/bench…thing up in the bow. After riding with Heather my daughter has the race bug!
Have you thought about keeping all battery/fuel tank weight away from the stern and maybe in that dock box to help with static and running trim

Buddy of mine built a skiff and used a plastic job box to hold batteries, safety gear and serve as a seat to steer from. Works beauty, is only semi-permanent and is a nice spot to stuff dry things like phones when you are taking spray. He put a gland on it for cables, etc. Tiller extension and away you go!
