6 months in the making. Newly built lower helm and DSG windows installed, finally time to remove that flybridge I've been wanting to for 6 months since buying the former WAKE. Alot of guys have expressed interest in seeing the sawzall job. So here you go, pics of the new sleek boat look and new helm attached.

Have had some good friends helping me, hope to reward girlfriend Alex, friends Cesar and Jason for all their help and patience.

Enjoy the pics of new LADY MAUREEN.

My previous boat had one mast that housed the radar, antennas and spreader lights. But that wheelhouse roof was much shorter and allowed for one structure to take care of all needs without getting too high or creating too much cockpit shadow.

For this boat I intend to do a short mast forward (approx 30 inches) for radar, gps antennas and running lights. Then have a 7-8 foot mast at stern of roof for 110 & 12 volt spreaders.....possibly also tie in supports for a greentsick added at a later date. But that's wishlist right now.

looks great. I actually looked at that 42, but could not pull the trigger until I sold my 28. one of the things I did not like was the fly bridge.
Looks, fantastic. good luck. looks like I'm building new.

Wow!!
Nice Job, She looks fantastic. You'd never know it was the same boat.
I'd love to know speed numbers before and after removing all that stuff.
Good Luck with her!

Hi blitzen, when you built 36 flowers, did you compate to the 37 duffy?
If so any major differences?

I'm also interested in the speed changes. I think the net change in weight will be negligible having removed the bridge components, relaced 3 8D's with 3 newer batteries half the weight, but also added a genny and the new helm items. I'm estimating that weight change to be approx neutral.

Of course the wind resistance change should be impactful. Won't be able to do a shakedown cruise for a while, but with the same 3406e 800HP Cat it always had, this boat is running approx as follows:

1850 rpms 19knots 25 ghp
1950 rpms 20 knots 27.5 gph
2050 rpms 21 knots 30 gph
2150 rpms 22 knots 33 gph
2300 rpms 25 knots 36 ghp

I am hoping to gain +1 to +1.5 knots at each interval.
