Tough day in Boston, two firefighters killed fighting a fire in a brownstone residential building on Beacon street. Nobody should die going to work.
As always, thoughts go out to the families and friends.

Made the mistake of listening to the audio. LODD's are the toughest thing to stomach....especially mayday calls.

They died as heroes Godspeed to them...and prayers to their families.

BPD declared it a crime scene since people died, and they did that while the fire was still burning. At that point it was too early to call it arson. But, you can be sure they'll do everything they can to figure out the cause.

I stayed in the Back Bay Plaza last night got in around five thirty. I had never heard so many sirens at once...the wind in the area is crazy, even in a normal day when it blows 15 it feels like 30 just because of all the damned buildings and the Charles River.
