trim moulding on sisu bass boat

hey, has any one tried to cleanup ,or refinish the plastic trim moulding that runs over the windsheild,and down along the top of the raised portion of the starboard ,and port gunnels? mine is pretty shabby looking. the moulding is u-shaped,and looks more rigid plastic ,than rubber.

I have the same problem on mine. I was thinking of painting them. I am a little concerned that the paint may not adhere well though. I wonder if anyone has tried this???
