The weight was what the ruler estimated the tuna should weigh.
It was at the 101" Mark which said it was 720lbs , it was the whole fish that was not gutted. Do you think my ruler is wrong or I Made up a fish story?

Nice fish, we spent 3 1/2 hours on a similar fish yesterday to have him chafe off at the boat. Congrats!
There was a guy right next to me who also fought a fish for 3 1/2 hours and lost it. Do you have a 35ft white Duffy by any chance ?

That ruler is not always right plus a heads up you measure tuna to the snout not the end of the jaw

Some day...
I’d put that fish at 500-550 live weight. No disrespect meant at all nice fish. I haven’t even caught one this year lol

I don't think you made up a fish story...(I do a pretty good job of that)...the ruler is tough to get an accurate number on sometimes...great fish...congrats again

No fish story as far as I’m concerned. When we talk tuna we talk in inches. There’s so much variability to their weight depending on The fat content. That’s a Cocker in anyone’s book these days.

As an example I caught a fish last year that was 110 inches and dressed 662. Caught one yesterday that was 111 and dressed 520. Skinny.
