upgrade opinion

looking to move from a MC32 440 yanmar to one of the following if anyone has experience or knows were there is one in NY or NJ I would appreciate it

36 Calvin Beal

36 or 38 wesmac

i would like to do an engine friendly 20 knot cruise any suggestions
and if are experienced could you pass on some performance info thanks

We just talked on the phone and I'll reitierate my opinion: Go with the 38' Calvin Beal. For some reason, it seems to have twice the room that my 36' has. Plus, you won't have to go through the whole upgrade process in a few years!

Also, thanks for pointing me to this forum! Good luck with the decision and let's see some 'baby' pics once you start building!

I'll more than likely complete the boat myself, subing out some of the work I'll speak with a few finishers but the lion share of the project baring no unusuals will be done with me overseeing or doing it directly

What is the beam on the 38? What is the widest load you can truck over the road.

Beam on a 38 Calvin is 15, The 40 Wayne is a sweet hull as well. I'd take either and smile
