Boats been sitting in the yard since sandy and pulled the original motor (carbureted 5.7)out of my 84 26' seaway a few weeks ago. So now the search is on I am set on repowering the boat as the motor would need a rebuild otherwise and over the past two years I have basically redone everything on the boat from wiring-tanks-paint etc. I would like to go used diesel as I have a pretty long run for fishing only hold 60 gal and believe that's what she should have otherwise I will go with a newer mpi motor around 315 hp.
My ? Is are there any reliable shops etc worth contacting on finding a used setup or is it simply the boatdiesel.com, Craigslist scavenger hunt the best method.
